Services Team partner. We have put together an extensive
program that combines Mentor Graphics sanctioned classes
and our own classes in PCB disciplines that allow you to
ramp up quickly with the latest in technology and EDA tools.
Our programs are constantly monitored for content and technique
by our Education Services professionals and by attendees,
so you can be assured of the highest level of satisfaction.
Taught by experienced engineers who have design, industry,
and training experience, our curriculum covers a full spectrum
for design and analysis course offerings, applied to Systems,
ASICs ad FPGA's. Topics covered include: schematic entry;
digital/analog simulation; data management; synthesis; VHDL
modeling; Verilog; timing analysis; signal integrity analysis;
and Test.

EDUCATION OPTIONS
STANDARD EDUCATION SERVICE:
- TSI/Mentor Graphics offers a wide
range of education courses covering PCB, FPGA, and System
design. The courses are designed by experienced engineers
that take the user from concept to design. Courses are
offered on a regular basis at our Education Center.
ON-SITE EDUCATION SERVICE:
- Customer-site courses are a cost-effective
way to simultaneously educate more of your engineers
in their own environment. Classes are taught in the
same format as those held in our own Education Centers,
using your facility resources and/or our computers. TSI will
supply all the necessary training documentation, Education
Services Engineer and software to conduct the class.
REGISTRATION:
- Register by calling our Education Services Coordinator
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern
Time) at 1-800-339-4TSI(874) X108.
TUITION:
Standard Scheduled Services:
- The cost of scheduled course at a
TSI/Mentor Graphics Education Center is $600.00 per
day per student, except for Advanced courses. Tuition
fees are indicated in the course description section.
Advanced Services:
- The cost of advanced courses at a
TSI/Mentor Graphics Education Center is $750.00 per
day per student, except for our methodology courses.
On-Site Services:
- On-Site Education is $4,500.00 per
day for 1-8 students plus travel/lodging
expenses. Any additional students are $600.00 per day,
per student. The length of each course is listed in
the course description section.
PAYMENT / CANCELLATION
POLICY:
ON-SITE:
- A hard copy of the purchase order
or a check must be received at least 10 days prior to
a scheduled on-site course date, or the course will
be canceled.
- Cancellations or postponement of an
on-site course received with less than two weeks'
notice will incur a penalty of 100 percent
of the course cost and any non-refundable travel costs.
REGULARLY SCHEDULED COURSES:
- Confirmation of your enrollment will
be made at the time of your registration. Enrollment
into class is only guaranteed by a purchase order or
receipt of a check. Payment must be received one week
prior to the start of class.
- TSI/Mentor Graphics reserves the right
to reschedule or cancel class one week prior to the
first day of class. If so, we will give registrants
notice of such changes.
CURRICULUM
- TSI/Mentor Graphics offers a wide
range of courses/consulting, covering the basic design
tools to the most advanced tools. We provide a service
that covers System/PCB Design, FPGA Design, and ASIC Design.
With the appropriate combination of lecture and hands-on
exercises and consulting, you are introduced to every
major operation and procedure of ASIC / FPGA and System

Analog Analysis with HyperLynx Analog
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Analog design engineers
using HyperLynx Analog (formerly DxSim)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course focuses on
teaching students to access DxDesigner and HyperLynx
Analog
for analog circuit analysis. You will learn how to effectively
use analog attributes to propagate design data from DxDesigner
to the analog simulator. Analog sources and various report
generators will be used to perform dc, ac, transient and
Monte Carlo analyses with HyperLynx Analog. Other topics covered in this course include creation of
symbols for user supplied SPICE models, behavioral modeling,
parameterized attributes and back-annotation of waveform
values to the DxDesigner schematics.
PREREQUISITES:
Familiarity with
DxDesigner.
A working knowledge of SPICE is highly recommended.

Our introduction to
PADS Logic
course combines lecture and hands-on demonstrations that
will provide you with a basic understanding of the capabilities
for the software. You will be guided through the actual
steps necessary to design an electrical schematic using
PADS Logic. Course highlights include generating electrical
components, adding/updating parts, generating netlists,
generating reports (BOM), and interfacing with the PCB tool.

parts, route connections, generating reports and Gerber
information.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Our Introduction to Mentor
Graphics PADS AutoRouter course provides you with the skills
necessary to use PADS AutoRouter efficiently and effectively.
Course highlights include showing you what features are
available in the software and how you can route a sample
printed circuit board using autoroute and interactive autorouting
modes. Special emphasis is given to the new hi-speed capabilities
and PADS Router (Interactive Push/Shove Route Editor). Learn about the
choices that are available to you during fanout, route passes,
testpoint options, and optimization.

This course covers two products:
LineSim and BoardSim

you with a basic understanding of how to use the software
as well as how to build a circuit, simulate a circuit and
view the results after doing "What if?" analysis, and analyzing
your results.
BoardSim is a post-layout
signal integrity analysis tool. The class is designed to
provide you with a basic understanding of how to use the
software tool as well as how to build a circuit, simulate
a circuit and view the results after doing "What if?" analysis.

and crosstalk circuits

Target Audience
Design engineers who want
to enhance their productivity by customizing eProduct Designer
applications such as DxDesigner and Dashboard.
Course Description
This class shows and discusses
practical Visual Basic examples describing how to create
custom functionality within the design entry environment
(through OLE automation into DxDesigner). You will learn how
to automate repetitive design tasks like project management,
attribute and connectivity manipulations, reporting and
interactive design validation will be covered.
